the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Golden Gate Bridge went into operation in May of 1937. It has a 4,200
foot long suspension span that was the longest in the world until 1964
when the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in New York City was opened. Eleven
people died during the construction of the bridge.
